I started this blog because it was a semester long on-going assignment and I found this assignment to be pleasing and unique. I enjoyed every second of this class because I was able to learn many cools this such as photoshop, premiere pro, adobe audition, and many different little facts. These blogs have been fun because I get to talk about the things that interest me, sports. I have don research for the different sports, and I have enjoyed this experience. This helped me a lot because I would have never thought that I could use any of those programs mentioned above. I have really learned and that is why I really enjoyed the course. Overall, thank you professor Sandhouse and everything he has taught me a lot and I am looking forward to using these skills that I have learned and using them in the real world to hopefully get a job.

Cornhole

Cornhole is the last sport I will blogging about during this quarantine and I have found that I have absolutely fallen in love with this sport. There is an appeal to this sport that matches no other. It seems like a simple sport as all you do is try to throw a bean bag into a hole in a wooden board. There is so much more than that though, the precision it takes and the strategy that people use to take the opponent’s bag off the board. By far the most exhilarating part of the sport is when the person throwing makes all four bags in the hole. This is called a 4 bagger is you see the excitement on the players face when this happens. Overall, this sport is fun and exciting at times, even though some may find it boring it is fun to watch and to play.

Frog Jumping

Another week under quarantine which means another week of me discovering another sport to watch. The sport that I have discovered this week is Frog Jumping. Frog jumping is a sport where you get a frog and put it down and scary, the frog jumps and whoever’s frog jumps the farthest after 3 jumps wins. I found this sport to be mesmerizing because the people have trained the frogs to jump as far as they can to win. I found it to be interesting that people actually can find fun in doing anything. This seemed like more of a country type sport but the fact that these people are so passionate about it is something to cheer for. I realized that this is not the sport for me as I did not find the thrill of seeing these frogs jump but I can understand the appeal behind it and why these people loved it so much.

New Sports

The second week has come and I have continued to miss live sports every day but I have  found different ways to keep my busy. I have continued to watch plenty of highlights in many different sports and have found myself learning about some new sports. One sports I have recently gotten into is death diving. It is not in category of Miami sports but I recommend anyone reading this to watch highlights of this sports. These people jump off a platform into a huge pool doing different tricks. The sports is interesting, fun and exciting to watch. These people jump many feet in the air doing flips and tricks all over the place. The land in the water in an unusual way sort of like a V shape with feet and hands going into the water first. I recommend watching this sport to keep build during this very stressful time.

Life without live sports

My life has been centered around sports since the moment I can start running around. The coronavirus has taken live sports way from all of us sports fan. It has been hard but sports even though they are not live are still there. There will always be highlights of every single sport imaginable on the internet. I recommend going online and soaking up all the sports highlights possible. No person has seen every single highlight of every sport, so I recommend taking advantage of this rough time to learn about new sports that you have not gotten into. On the NBA YouTube channel they are posting full classic games and anyone is able to go in there and watch some of the most famous games in NBA history. The MLB is doing the same thing. The NFL has always uploading past Super Bowls on YouTube for everyone to watch. Live sports are not being played but it does not mean sports have to stop with it.

Miami Dolphins Free Agency

The Miami Dolphins have made a splash in NFL Free Agency so far as they have signed multiple players, notable players include:  Corner Back Byron Jones, linebacker Kyle Van Noy, and Running Back Jordan Howard. With these signings it seems like the dolphins are to secure a top defense starting with bringing people in that will fit into the culture that Head Coach Brian Flores is trying to bring to Miami. The biggest signing of the all was Corner Byron Jones signing him to a 5 year 82.5-million-dollar contract. He is paired up with all pro corner Xavien Howard hoping that they can form a dynamic cornerback duo. Jordan Howard is also a big signing, the running back has had some off years in Philadelphia but hopes to have a career resurgence in Miami as they fill a huge hole that Miami had last year with absolutely no running game.
